Mother’s Day

You are the mother I’ve always had
Now that I’m grown I can be glad
That you’ve been there to dry my tears,
To give me hope and ease my fears.
Throughout my childhood you have brought
Me up to be strong, dependent not.
In this one thing, you did not succeed.
For it’s you, Dear Mother, I will always need.
